What colour do I wear with this…argghh?!?

June 10, 2022

You probably ask yourself this question a couple of times of week.

Colour is the first thing you need to think about when putting outfits together and building an interchangeable wardrobe. Then we think about style and shape and texture… but let’s not get ahead of ourselves!

I want to make this easy for you.

💥 KNOW YOUR NEUTRALS

Because these are colours that will make you feel effortless.

They pull together your wardrobe and you feel casual, yourself but intentional.

You need colours you can relax in… does it make you feel relaxed? OR does it require mental energy? You want to avoid the ‘what goes with what… argh!’ feeling.

Colours that stand up when you are wearing brights but equally love being together in an outfit.

To help you on your quest to colour combine like a pro, here are my colour combinations…

Brights…

✔️ Go with neutrals like grey, camel, beige, taupe, mocha brown, khaki and navy.

Pastels…

✔️ Go with neutrals like grey, camel, beige, taupe, mocha brown, khaki and navy.

White…

✔️ Goes with other whites and light neutrals like taupe, grey and beige. And black. chic.

🧐 Not wrong but not as interesting…

Navy + White

Brights + black

Brights + white

What are your neutrals you rely on?
