The one thing I keep typing into the search bar…

June 16, 2022

One of my VIP members of My Wearable Wardrobe Style Club posted in our exclusive Slack group about how she struggles in the warmer months. She wants clothes that cover her delicate skin but look summery and not like she is still dressed for winter months. And in her words she ‘wants a cool summer vibe’.

And I get it. She wants to shine but not in a sweaty way!

It can be hard to find styles that cover you but still feel stylish and appropriate for summer in the city…

Not too see-through, backless, strappy or beachy

The one thing I am repeatedly typing into my search bar on my favourite websites is…

Cotton dresses with sleeves

This is your one-and-done work horse for an effortless wardrobe when the weather warms up. Cotton is breathable and doesn’t mark when you sweat and you can chuck it in the washing machine. And if you really want to geek out on fabrics (who doesn’t!?) then cotton poplin is a favourite as it has a silky, lustrous feel to it.

And most importantly you have a multitude of shoe options… whether you like a birkenstock, trainer, flatform or strappy sandal.

I really love the styles at COS, Arket, Albany and Whistles on the highstreet

But if you are looking for new brands to add to your summer wardrobe, here are some of mine and my clients favourites.

Rixo

Doên

Mondo Corsini

Woera

Casa Raki

Piece of White

Omi Na Na

Wiggy Kit

Here’s to summer (in sweat free style!)

P.S. I know so many suffer in this heat to put stylish (and sweat free) looks together every summer… let’s get you sorted. Fill in the questionnaire here and let’s start a conversation.
