There is a certain predictability with summer fashion, but this season there is a nostalgic detail that I love.

It sets your summer dresses and skirts apart from the rest – Rik Rak.

When I was a little girl, I thought of my mum’s wardrobe as one big dressing up box.

My favourite dress of hers was a seemingly simple white dress covered with ribbons and rik-rak sewn in alternate layers.

I have had a nostalgic fondness for Rik Rak ever since.
