The One Thing You Can Do To Turn Your Wardrobe Into An Eco Friendly One TODAY.

September 22, 2020

Eco-Friendly Wardrobe.

Fashion devastates the planet… 3 facts

1. The equivalent of one garbage truck full of clothes is burned or dumped in a landfill every second.

2. In total, up to 85% of textiles go into landfills each year. That’s enough to fill the Sydney harbour annually.

3. The fashion industry emits more carbon than international flights and maritime shipping combined.*

Eco-Friendly Wardrobe

You can help to slow this process and turn your wardrobe into an eco friendly one TODAY by…

  • Using what you have in your wardrobe.

I know I’m always banging on about the importance for taking time to play in your own wardrobe, to try and put a new outfit combination together from items you already own BUT there is a good reason for it.

Actually 3 good reasons…

1. You help the environment by slowing the process of consumption

2. You get better ROI on your existing wardrobe

3. You can better understand what you actually need to buy, your priorities and what you don’t need. Stopping impulse buying.

So Sunday night make a date with your wardrobe.

– 20 minutes is all you need.

– Pick something you haven’t worn in a while and put it with one of your ‘essentials’… a white t shirt, a pair of straight leg jeans, a blazer, a button down.

– Make a new outfit

– Photograph it.

Eco-Friendly Wardrobe = Shopping in your own wardrobe

There’s nothing more satisfying than shopping in your own wardrobe.

Be curious and have fun. Get creative!

P.S. One thing my clients have in common is that they don’t want to work on their wardrobe alone. Book a half day wardrobe outfit building session, see the potential of items you already own and (potentially) create enough outfits for a month.

Then we can create a vision for the future and what you actually need to buy, yielding your purchasing power for good! Get in touch!
