Your Summer Wardrobe Deserves Better (So Do You)
Summer Wardrobe. I’ve been having lots of conversations with clients lately about the value of summer clothing.
Recently, I curated a selection of holiday pieces for a client heading to Ibiza. Among them was a dress that, admittedly, sat above the price point we usually hover around. But I knew 4 things:
- She would look incredible in it — and she did.
- She would feel incredible in it — and she did.
- Its versatility was unmatched — from the beach club, to the bar, to breakfast at the hotel.
- It would become a perennial favorite — something she’d reach for year after year, always excited to wear it again.
She sent me a photo of her in it and thanked me for encouraging her to try it. (Her husband thanked me too 😉)
She had challenged her own perception of value. And the shift felt good.

Why We Underestimate Summer Style
Especially in the UK, summer clothes often fall under this mindset:
“I don’t need to invest in summer clothing — I only wear it for a few months of the year.”
I hear this all the time. And I get it. The season is short. But… we have summer every year, no?
So before you completely disregard the idea of investing in your summer wardrobe, let’s pause and ask:
What does “value” actually mean when it comes to clothes?
Because I know you know — the value of clothing isn’t in the number on the price tag…
just like you are so much more than the number on the size label.
What Value Really Looks Like
1. Utility
This is the first marker of value.
We call it Cost Per Wear (CPW) — not just how often you wear something, but how easily it works with the pieces you already own. Versatility is everything.
2. Quality
Clients come to me because they’re done wasting money (and time — their most valuable resource) on pieces that don’t perform.
Quality isn’t just about fabric. It’s the stitching, the construction, the production values.
The Ibiza dress was made by a brand known for impeccable quality. It will last for years — that’s real ROI.
3. Cost
When something is cheap, we often buy it on impulse, without thought.
But when the price is higher, we pause. We consider. We value it more.
Exactly what a wardrobe should be: considered and valued.
Because you are considered and valued. See?
The more I value the short time we have on this planet, the more I realise how important it is to feel good every single day. Not just on holiday. Not just for special occasions.
Every. Day.
Here are three brands I wear that meet my expectations for value — in utility, quality, and cost.

P.S. If you value style — and the ease and confidence that comes with feeling good in your clothes — we’ll work well together.
Let’s explore what that could look like for you.
It starts with a conversation.
